What we store and when it's deleted
Every figure here is either a retention period that a deletion job in our system actually enforces, or a technical value of the infrastructure. Anything we don't know is explicitly listed as open below.

Our retention periods

Technical limits of the infrastructure
KVM servers are subject to values that come from the host systems they run on. They are independent of our own retention periods and may change as the technology changes.

What we can't promise
- How long backups, logs and rDNS entries remain on the host systems after a server is deleted. We have no binding information on this, so we don't make any claim.
- Whether and for how long the host systems store the IP addresses of your connections. That is a separate processing activity of the host system operator, on which we make no statement.
- Connection and traffic data of your servers: we don't keep any logs of it.
How our offering comes together
- Infrastructure. We don't run all of our products on our own – KVM servers and domains, for example. We source the technology for them from an infrastructure partner and offer it under our own name. Who processes data on our behalf is listed in the privacy policy and the data processing agreement (both in German).
- Development. Parts of this platform's source code were written with the help of AI tools. We are responsible for running it and for what this page says – not the tool.
When an authority makes a request
The retention periods above are suspended while a preservation order from an authority covers your data. Such an order is time-limited, and deletion resumes afterwards. We inform you about requests concerning your data unless the authority orders a temporary deferral. The rules are set out in our reporting procedure and in the privacy policy (both in German).
