The configurator at /kvm/konfigurator lets you put together a custom VM configuration instead of choosing a predefined plan.

How does the configurator work?

  • chevron_rightUnder “Product line & location”, choose the hardware line: Value (Intel Xeon, NL), Core (AMD Ryzen, NL), Pro (AMD EPYC 3rd gen, Frankfurt) or Elite (AMD EPYC 5th gen, Frankfurt).
  • chevron_rightPick CPU cores, memory and NVMe storage by clicking a size; “Fine-tune value” also offers a slider. Under “Add-ons” you choose IPv4 addresses and backup slots. Depending on the location, a faster network connection (Netherlands only) or HDD storage (Germany only) is also available.
  • chevron_rightIn the summary, choose the billing term (monthly, semi-annual −5%, yearly −10%). The price is calculated instantly.
  • chevron_rightClick “Continue to order”. In the order form you set the operating system and hostname and complete the order.

Ready-made plans are cheaper than the same specs built in the configurator. The configurator is worthwhile when none of the plans fits.
